Sealed Game Heaven — Forgotten Freshness
← General Sealed Discussion
Check out this crazy auction for 247 sealed NES games!

http://cgi.ebay.com/Sealed-New-NES-Nintendo-247-Games-Instant-Collection_W0QQitemZ160141893483QQihZ006QQcmdZViewItem

So, it is already over $2,000 with over 2 days left, which is not bad, at less than $10 a game!

What do you think these are worth individually, on average? I didn't see any stadium events or anything in the list, but it is still very impressive. I'd guess $30 per game would be very fair, but that is a complete guess. Comments?

(by the way, this is NOT my auction. I just was impressed by it.)
Was anybody here watching these auctions that ended last night?

I've bought Harvest Moon from this dude a month ago. Nice guy. Shipped EMS instead of priority(rare situation), packed with care.
I bought stuff from him as well. Twice. Great condition items. But these latest prices are out of control.

Indeed. I've been bidding on Dracula X from him and it was sold at 147$. Ridiculous.
I am guessing a lot of the recent high prices in the US are due to the introduction of grading, and also the fact that foreign currencies can buy a lot more $$ now. Or are they just going up anyway??

I think the grading system is too obscure to the average game buyer these days for it to influence their purchases just yet. I just think as gaming become more widespread (this is the 7th generation) then there is an increase in collecting as the once common now becomes more rare.

I looked at the CGC and AFA census last week to get an idea of how many things ppl submit items to be graded and honestly it wasn't that many. Far less than I expected. I'm thinking the VGA will have less of an impact on the overall economy of collecting than I thought...with pieces already garnishing the most high values (FFIII, Chrono Trigger, PDS, etc etc) will just go up even more.
Holy crap!!!

rarebucky, you were one step ahead of me, i was just gonna post that find as i have the system on my watch list. i was planning to put in a bid for around $400 but i was watching Heroes and came late then I saw THAT
Oh my god !!!!
I've been watching for a weeK after it. The price multiplied greatly in the LAST 10 MINUTES. Not to mention Miyamoto signed superfami sold for LESS!

This is unbelievable. I even thought it was a fake bidding. Still thinking... That's impossible price even for a new snes.
Do you think my game might fetch a simular price?

Is this serious or a joke? I got my sealed copy for $30 last year on ebay.
just a joke price to get more visits and more offers ...
Taking a look at his other auctions maybe it isn't a joke. The guy has ridiculous prices. $75 for Mario Advance 3 which is still available in stores???
sorry, meant mario advance 4
Alright you all have to look at his feedback to see some of his completed auctions. You will get a big laugh. He asks ridiculous prices because people are paying them! Look at this:

Apparently it's no joke if people are buying the seller's items at these outrageous prices. it's insane.
