Sealed Game Collector Demographics POLL!

Locked
I'm just curious what kind of people chose the sometimes expensive hobby of sealed video game collecting. Please pick which best describes you for age and financial situation.

I would consider poor as living paycheck to paycheck.

Average wealth would be you work, but have a decent savings.

Wealthy would be that you come from a rich family or are rich enough to buy luxury cars without problem if you want, or have such a large savings that you don't need to work.
21-30 and poor.
What are we classing as "Poor" and "Wealthy"? What are your definitions of these terms?

I'm almost 27; Have a half decent full-time job, although it's nothing spectacular; And virtually no responsibilities (Still live with parents due to ever rising house prices), so therefore I have a high disposable income. I would categorise myself as being "Of medium wealth", as I am not hard-up, but then again i'm not exactly Lord of the manor.

Let's put it this way - I feel i'm not exactly in the same league as those who collect Neo Geo AES games or sealed Snes / NES / N64 games, and I do not own such luxuries like plasma screen Tv or a car. I do spend a fair share of my salary on my collection though, as well as Dvd's and Cd's amongst other things.
My income is 600$/month. I guess i can be considered "poor" comparing with the rest of the people here.
Thanks for the replies so far. I was just curious because I see some auctions go so high on ebay and I wonder who can afford to buy those. I would expect it to be rich people who could care less about how much they spend, but it seems like a lot of us are just average wealth, avid video game players who like to collect.
seems like i'm the oldest collector here so far ?? i just a big kid at heart though

In comparison, I take home roughly £1200 every four weeks after tax deductions etc. I consider this "Average"

what about all the loans and grants you get , you've plenty money !!!
i dont even have a job just now , poor me
all people so poor here.. yet they buy sealed FF2 for thousands..
the average age seems to be 27 or something like that ^^
I'd consider myself as adverage...
I'm 20 and have a full time job as a carpenter that brings in £280 (after tax) per week but i also do some discos and run an ebay shop on the side
Well..I'm 24 (or, I will be in 1 month) and my income is about $3000 per month after taxes are taken out. So I would consider myself of average wealth, though I live at home, so I'm not paying rent or anything...would be a lot more had it not been for Uncle Sam

Guess that's the price you pay to live in the USA hahaha
3000 Dollar is a lot...isn't it?
You live in New York, right??
How much are the rents there??
Do you have an appartment or a flat???
yeah I live in New York...I live at home with parents and sister...rent is about $1000 a month or so for us, which is not bad. If you live near where I work on Wallstreet, you're easily paying $4000+ a month, which is why you'll need about 25 roommates in order to afford that

My girlfriend has like 3 roomates, and she's STILL paying about $800 a month!
