Not necessarily. There is a way to open a flap with the blunt edge of a knife and not leave a mark OR bend the tabs. However, when a flap has been pulled back, it'll "Crack" the printing on the hinge crease and start to show through white (The colour of the cardboard box). Everytime a flap is opened, it makes this hinge crease a little bit weaker, and the more you open it the more wear it will suffer
