are these big in europe as well? they usually have guides for new games here in america but i always wondered if they do these as well in europe.
yes they are big in europe as well ! Especially for RPGs you can get a new guide on the release date ... but i think the hole guide thing is a little bid bigger in the USA ...

yeah. to be honest, i think it is more of like a collection thing now than it was before. now that you have gamefaqs.com, people don't normally buy guides. you can, however, get them from the publisher themselves. theres less guides in the market and also they tend to hold on to their value much quicker. there are guides out there that sells more than the complete games themselves.
