After almost two decades, Nintendo have finally ditched the classic red Nintendo tear strip!

The latest batch of first-party PAL Nintendo games have a new official tear strip! Instead of the old tear strip with red 'Nintendo' writing on, the new tear strip now sports the Nintendo logo, albeit in black!

Two games I have seen it on so far are Pokemon Ranger: Shadows Of Almia and Wii Music

Which do you prefer?

its been on the news all day. together with this, of course:

yeah i like them both to, i voted for the new one, i guess its nice to have a change. although Im not really too bothered , as long as we have the tearstrip Im happy

a change is good i suppose . it would have been terrible if they stopped the tear strip as it makes all the difference

It's now official - Nintendo have indeed officially changed their logo from red to grey:

Nintendo Europe changed only. Not JP or US.

Which explains the change of logo on the tear strips, as America and Japan don't use them.
