Sealed Game Heaven — Forgotten Freshness
← Off Topic
what would it take for Nintendo to better seal their Wii games today? To add an red-strip and security stickers for U.S games for example. Do you think its possible?
not at all. It would cost them a lot of money and what do they get out of it?? With stores these days not accepting anything that has been opened and piracy running rampant, it's not even worth the effort.

y-fold seals are still pretty good though if you ask me.
The only problom that I see today for example at my local wal-mart is people buying new games, taking the disc out and replacing it with another and then shrinkwrapping the game with a empty disc and returning it for money back making off with the game. Of course the stupid wal-mart clercks cant tell the difference lol. They dont even care!
who would buy a shrink wrap machine just to scam a couple of 50$ games from wal-mart?? And no I do not think they are that dumb, they stock the shelves w/ hundreds of games they will probably notice a difference.

Even worse is EB Games in Canada, they remove the shrink wrap sometimes from wii and especially DS games, throw in a stupid french manual, then shrink wrap it and sell it as brand new. Sometimes they don't even shrink wrap it! The Audacity......

at least bigger stores will just shrink wrap the french manual overtop of the actual sealed game which I don't mind at all.
EB games/gamestop are huge assholes! Ever since N64 era, they remove the seals and hold the carts, now discs behind the counter. Forget about finding sealed DS games in my area.
I personally hate how THQ seem to get away with sealing their games with shrinkwrap, whilst everyone else make an effort to seal with cellophane and include a tear strip
