this was mainly for pooch, but I figured I would share with everyone here

back in the day, mcfarlane toys (owner: todd mcfarlane, comic artist of the spectacular spider-man, spawn, etc) used to be located near where I live and due to my relationship with the owner of a comic publisher and most of the employees, I was able to nab a complete set of the figures when they were first released.

in addition to the initial 8 figures, 3 (solid snake, the ninja and psycho mantis) were re-released in their camo forms as variants. more rare than those was the 1-off produced (1-off meaning only one figure was produced) (and packaged) in a blue colour as a test run which the employees were kind enough to gift to me since I had authored the initial metal gear solid strategy guide for the ps one.

I'd buy that 1-off Snake off you. I'm a really big MG collector.

Did you get all those figures as a gift and if not what did you pay?

I'll let you know should I decide to free myself of it, however it wouldn't be cheap, being the only one in existence.

unfortunately, I haven't written a strategy guide in over 5 years. I tried to get back into it, but it just wasn't in the cards (which is ok, because towards the end, it became just as stressful as my current job).

I think I may have just paid for the one camoflauge ninja variant after seeing that it was different than the other one that I had. the rest were all gifted by a friend that worked at mcfarlane toys at the time.

in a semi-related topic, I've finally gotten around to opening my ebay store, so you should see a few choice items up there soon. you'll know if by the store name ^_^
