Help needed!

do not do it....I would keep it like it is.

That's why I always use the bigger protective cases....they are just a little bit bigger, the hang tab fits into it as well.
Do you have a pic of yours??

I just fold the hang tabs up a bit. They seem to fit that way. I would never try and remove one.

I dont use the cheap quality protective cases for my sealed games. Only the $15 cases or no cases at all.

The ones I have were purchased online at VGA website. They dont fit games with hangers tough. Otherwise my games get placed in bubble wrap and into rubbermaid bins were I cant see them. That is why I wanted to remove the top part of the hang tab.

who knows what a cut hangtab will do to resale value? Never seen one like that before.

It will fit in those sliding cases. Just make sure the hangtag folds downward towards the top of the box as you insert it.

I was afraid this would put pressure on the box at the top.

My SNES games are allready to the top with no more room left and they dont even have hang tabs.

Have you tried this before and is there enough room left?

This is a little off-topic, but where do you get these $15 cases? I would like to protect my Lufia II and my last Mario 64.

Well I've only tried it with one game so far, and there was a little room left at the top to fold it down comfortably. I don't think it was putting any pressure on the top of the game, but I'll check later.

Striker: yes I have the same cases tough I bought them at vggrader.com in July when they had a big sale. They were allmost half price shipped then.

Expensive yes but very very good quality and protection!

while I agree that games (especially boxed ones) need protection, I think the 1$ ones are just fine. Heavy duty acrylic is like wearing a motorcycle helmet on a skateboard.

If something is cause so much disturbance that you need an acrylic case, then you need to be more careful with the sealed games!

Well everyone has their own preferences.

I personally find the $1 cases unsafe for sealed games becuase they can very easily rip or damge the plastic with the sharp inside corners.

You should at least buy 1 or 2 of the acrylic cases for your favourite games that you dont want to get damaged.
