Sealed Game Heaven — Forgotten Freshness
← Off Topic
I was thinking it would be great if we had a slogan to go with the forum. Something along the lines of:

Sealed Game Heaven: Preservation Of Gaming
Sealed Game Heaven: Tomorrow's Retro Collectables
Sealed Game Heaven: Forgotton Freshness (Inspired by one of our regulars!)
Sealed Game Heaven: Disciplined Gaming!
Sealed Game Heaven: Collecting, One Step Further!
Sealed Game Heaven: Good Games, Forever Sealed!
Sealed Game Heaven: Sealed Pride!

Does anyone else have any good ideas?

Also, does anyone else have any graphical ideas that could be used as a SGH logo? Either thumbnail or banner sized, any ideas are welcomed!
I vote for "forgotten freshness"
great idea! Gemini, you should add a poll to this thread where you add any further suggestions! so we can vote

and get a slogan !

Thanks for adding the poll, Pascal! It would be nice to see what everyone else comes up with, and perhaps you can edit the poll accordingly.

I also think we could use more than one of these - No need to limit to just one!

As for the logo - I don't intend to mess with the black PS2 banner, as this is perfect and should stay as it is, but I was aiming more for a replacement for the "SGH wing" (No offence my friend!)
Believe it or not, I put in a vote for "Collecting, One Step Further!" as I think it best describes sealed game collecting. A lot of people collect games. But to collect SEALED games, that's the next level!

Also, I think my vote went to the wrong one? O_o I clicked the vote for the mentioned one above, but it says Disciplined Gaming is where the vote went.

And high five for Forgotten Freshness.
all jokes aside forgotten freshness nicely sums up the reason of collecting.

Every time I think back to the days I was in Wal-Mart, the impossible to find super-expensive games were sitting right there, fresh off their hangtabs for MSRP, common as the cold. People buying them, opening them and enjoying them without thinking twice. Fast forward 20 yrs and they are nowhere to be found. Forgotten Freshness.

You remember it, even if just for a second, when you look at the sealed game you still have now.

Forgotten Freshness is the aroma you get when you open up the battery compartment of an old monochrome GameBoy classic!
I like these, they're pretty cool. I esp like Sealed Game Heaven: Sealed Pride!

Others that pop into Mind:

SGH: "Play Hard, Preserve Harder"
SGH: "Safeguarding the Sealed Since 2007"
SGH: "Gaming Evolved"
SGH: "Worth the Wait"
SGH: "Sealed Sentinels"
> Startyde wrote:SGH: "Worth the Wait"

I like this one!

Unfortunately, because there's been votes, I can't edit the poll.

This is how I felt when I got my sealed Lufia II. I remember shelling out $80 for that at TRU on release. When I held the sealed one it was just a huge flood of memories. Also, I named my store Forgotten Freshness when I started buying PS1 RPGs again after having sold them off to buy a Dreamcast. In 2005, I went from 200 games to 1500 just in my personal collection. I won't play half of them, but having them around just reminds me of when they were fresh and exciting!
Sealed Game Heaven: Tomorrow's Retro Collectables

this is 100% the way I think about having sealed games
Sealed Game Heaven: No fat chicks
all new suggestions added to the poll !
I voted for:

SGH: Forgotten Freshness!

..but thought of..

$GH: "Playground of the rich!"

I feel the same way as the two of you!

The strangest, yet best feeling in the world is when you have one of your favouite games sealed and you don't even have a playable copy! It's allmost like self torture, but in a good way. You know you have the game in the mintiest, unplayed and untouched condition, but you cant open it to play it. It makes you appreciate the game more once you finally buy a copy that you can play and not to mention, takes you back years to when you first played the game!

A feeling unparallel to owning a used game IMO.
I want to vote for
Sealed Game Heaven: Sealed Pride!
for so many people bashing on our collecting habits

and I like this one, it's funny:

$GH: "Playground of the rich!"
> violentsnake wrote:Sealed Game Heaven: No fat chicks

The obvious winner.

Yeah I was gonna use it for my site, but I opted with "The Sealed Metal Gear Collection" instead. Plus I love ladies of all sizes
added:
SGH: Sealed Pride
SGH: "Playground of the rich!"
