EBAY "Steal of the Year" Award

Locked
Six factory sealed copies of Super Mario 64 fresh from a Nintendo case sold for SIXTY US DOLLARS each last night.

I spotted that auction literally minutes after it was listed, but the seller refused to let me bid cause I live in Austria (which he mistook for Australia in his brief reply to me).

Feel free to post your alternative suggestions for the "Steal of the Year" award - but I seriously doubt that something will top that one..
HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY MOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The seller will have a heart attack when he finds out that these games are worth a few grand! OMG! OMG!

One thing though - i don't see vertical seams on the 5 games inside the box. Maybe i'm wrong, but anyway, i think this is truly THE steal of the year
Read the description properly:

> "Buyer to receive this Nintendo 64 Super Mario Video game, which is new, mint and factory sealed. I was lucky enough to purchase a sealed case of 6 of these games. Buyer to add $7 for USPS shipping. Thanks for looking, Bill."

The auction is for just ONE copy, not a case of six. The auction was originally for six separate copies (Dutch auction), all priced at $60 each, of which premiercollections bought six copies. I would imagine that they paid a total of $320 plus S&H

The seller simply takes pride in bragging that they have six.
But there's "quantity available" there in the auction. It wasn't 6?

I just don't get it, the buyer got all 6 or just 1 copy?

Even if it's just 1 copy, THIS IS FREAKING CRAZY!!!
The Quantity was originally displayed as 6, now its down to zero. Buyer got six copies for 60 USD each. CONGRATS, damnit!

Oh crap that's still amazing!! Someone bought all of them?

They bought all six copies, as per the "Purchases" page. The quantity was originally six, and they bought all six for $60 each, thus why the auction now states zero quantity
Frank - is this the same guy you got your case from? I noticed they are in NY as well. As an aside, that's a ridiculous deal. These will now be graded and likely listed for well over $1k apiece.

I missed that auction. That's unbelievable!!! Lufia alone would probably get $400-$500 now.

Oh yes. I still cannot believe how I missed it! I was asleep i guess.
what's going on here.....???
Oleg??? Did you bought the six Mario 64???

Who bought the three SNES games???

Fucking ebay.....I can't believe it.
Who can be so stupid....

Unfortunately - no

I tried to buy them, but could not bid due to buyer restrictions (probably set to US-residents only). The seller didn't want to add me to the exemption list (thanks for that). So all I could do is click the "refresh" button, curse like a sailor, and wait until someone else discovers this super-deal and then curse even more. *?§$#!!!
You should have told me and I would have sold you one
> rarebucky wrote:You should have told me and I would have sold you one

for 600$

probably more
Holy Nukin' Futs!!!
What a deal.
Holy shit, steals like that might make me actually do searches that don't include "Metal" and "Gear" in the query heh.

Ok maybe not, but still that's insane, he pretty much sold them at the retail price they were sold at.
he has actually done it TWICE (?!). wtf?

I noticed that as well. Seems to good to be true. Scam perhaps?

Maybe the buyers will end up recieving only 1 game as mentioned above rather than a case..

I know this makes someone even more angry know!
> yobo wrote:Maybe the buyers will end up recieving only 1 game as mentioned above rather than a case.

No, because (As mentioned above) the buyers have all bought SIX copies, and be charged $60 EACH copy, to the sum of $320 in the eBay checkout
Let's take 650-700$/each profit. 6x700=4200$. ouch! Mr Scrooge shitted his pants i guess.
> yobo wrote:I noticed that as well. Seems to good to be true. Scam perhaps?

the guy has almost 6k feedback, 99.7% positive
I actually told him right after the first auction was over that the games are worth $700+ each, but it seems that he didn't quite believe me..
> Dark Sol wrote:Let's take 650-700$/each profit. 6x700=4200$. ouch! Mr Scrooge shitted his pants i guess.

and he sold 3 cases (18 games) so it's more like 12,000+$ lost.

Mr. Scrooge had a heart attack is more like it!

It's a shame I missed it, but I would imagine that this should bring the value of this game down, now that 18 of them have been sold for 60$ a piece....

who here would still have the heart to pay 800$ on this game? Knowing that others got it for 60$.... There have been 24 copies seen here in the last month (6 from forgotten_freshness and 8 from this guy)
Not sure about steal of the year but this was definitely a steal!
