I apologize for bumping an old dead thread but figured you'd be interested to know that the original author of the speedrun you posted (no longer on youtube as the account hosting it stole many speedruns from various sites and put them up as his own) was myself. I use to have my videos listed in my bio at gametz (user Yahtzee) but no longer have them listed. Anyways for anyone who wants to see the video you can find it here:

The final time was 35 minutes and 29 seconds done in a single segment (no saves) and without using glitches, done on normal difficulty starting from a new game (no special weapons used); video originally uploaded Oct. 22nd 2004.
Also 3 years after doing this I returned to the game to challenege a Japanese gamer under his settings (normal mode, new game, amusement park glitch allowed, multi-segmented i.e. saves were used and with the best ending good+). So back in august of 2007 I finished my run in a final time of 33 minutes and 50 seconds beating his by 90+ seconds. That video can be found here:

Just scroll down until you see the video done by Ekudeht (the tag I use and also my xbox live account name).
I have other runs, most notably, my Resident Evil 1 knife only run in 1hr 9min and 17 sec. hosted at the same site as my 35:29 SH run (speeddemosarchive).
